While travelling around Australia, Ciara was introduced to yoga and quickly discovered the amazing effect regular practice had on her overall health and wellbeing. As soon as she returned to Ireland, Ciara began her Transformational Yoga Teacher training under the direction of Lisa Temple, an inspirational and supportive teacher and friend and is now a qualified yoga teacher. She is delighted to be teaching in the Olive3 studio and is excited to share her knowledge and experience with others.
Ciara discovered the many benefits that techniques such as asanas (poses), pranayamas (breathwork) and meditation offers and how it transforms your life and your values, teaches you self-awareness and techniques for remaining calm in even the most challenging situations. Ciara’s main passion lies is the philosophy and teachings of Patanjali’s Eight Limbs of Yoga and her classes are based around the teachings of the Yamas and Niyamas, which are the ten stepping stones towards consciousness and leading a more fulfilling and joyful life.
These steps, which are the core values in yoga, are characteristics and behaviours which we are encouraged to incorporate into our daily lives, which inspire a sense of peace, kindness, truth, self-respect, generosity, contentment, self-acceptance, love and self-awareness, essentially teaching us how to be kinder to ourselves, others and our environment. Through applying these lessons to our yoga practice and to our personal lives and workplaces, we can develop stronger relationships with ourselves and others and bring more happiness, contentment and fulfilment into our lives.
Ciara is also studying a holistic nutritional therapy course and training in a range of alternative therapies. She is very passionate about helping others and sharing her knowledge and experience in yoga.
